Summary: By using Tally, you agree to use the app responsibly for personal expense tracking. We provide the service "as is" and are not liable for financial decisions based on app data.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Tally ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
2. Description of Service
Tally is a personal expense tracking application that allows you to:
- Record and categorize expenses
- Set and monitor budgets
- View spending analytics and reports
- Sync data across devices
- Export your financial data
3. Account Registration
To use Tally, you must:
- Sign in using a valid Google account
- Be at least 13 years of age
- Provide accurate account information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Tally only for lawful purposes. You may NOT:
- Use the Service to track illegal financial activities
- Attempt to access other users' data
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
- Use automated systems to access the Service
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Upload malicious content or code
5. User Content
You retain ownership of all expense data and content you enter into Tally. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to:
- Store and process your data to provide the Service
- Create anonymized, aggregated statistics for service improvement
- Back up your data for disaster recovery
6. Intellectual Property
The Tally app, including its design, code, logos, and content (excluding user data), is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not:
- Copy or reproduce the app without permission
- Use our trademarks without authorization
- Create derivative works based on the Service
7. Privacy
Your use of Tally is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
8. Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may:
- Perform scheduled maintenance (with advance notice when possible)
- Experience temporary outages due to technical issues
- Modify, suspend, or discontinue features
9. Data Accuracy
Important: Tally is a tool to help you track expenses. We do not guarantee the accuracy of calculations or reports. Always verify important financial information independently.
You are solely responsible for:
- The accuracy of data you enter
- Financial decisions based on app data
- Maintaining your own financial records
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- The Service is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind
- We are not liable for any financial losses or decisions based on app data
- We are not responsible for data loss (though we implement backups)
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your use of the Service
- Content you submit to the Service
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you:

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.
